St Johns Wort (hypericum pat hidcote): A compact, deciduous shrub that typically grows to 4' tall in warm winter climates, but grows closer to 1.5-2' tall in colder climates where it usually is cut or naturally dies to the ground in winter. Easily grown in average, medium, well-drained soil in full sun to part shade. Tolerates wide range of soils, including dry rocky or sandy soils. Blooms on new growth.
